WYA Opens New Chapter in UPV; Holds Dignity Project

Slide1World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific is happy to announce the establishment of its new chapter: World Youth Alliance University of the Philippines Visayas (WYA UPV) Chapter.

Its officers include Rejean Marie Darroca as Head of the UPV Chapter, RL Christian Glendon H. Gulmatico as Committee Head for Arts and Culture, Jo Andrew A. Torlao as Committee Head for Community and Environment, and Kimberly T. Pabello as Committee Head for Education and Advocacy.

The chapter held its first Dignity Project last September 27, 2015 at the SOS Children’s Villages in Zarraga, Iloilo. The WYA UPV officers were joined by its new members Zyreen Lou Faramiran, Mariene Lescano, Alec Roger Vista, Pia Mari Fernandez, Karmela Samoro, Megan Cortez, Bea Barluado and Kenneth Wilson Si.

WYA Iloilo Chapter members Angelo Jon, Patrick Fernandez, Paolo Garcia, Faye Ong and Rigel Almonte also joined the event.

The WYA members spent an entire afternoon with the children teaching them about the importance good hygiene and nutrition in relation to human dignity.

“If we recognize our self worth, we take care of our bodies, enabling us to live longer and do more for the world we live in,” Rejean shared.
