March 5-6, 2019, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – World Youth Alliance Southeast Europe (WYA SEE) held a two-day Training of Trainers for Certified Training Program (CTP) for the members of World Youth Alliance Bosnia and Herzegovina. The training took place in Sarajevo, at the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Having completed Certified Training Program (CTP) in 2018, four members of the newly established WYA Chapter in Bosnia and Herzegovina (WYA BH) participated in a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT). The training was conducted by Director of WYA SEE, Valentino Findrik.
“I learned in the training how to adapt the teaching approach in CTP to best meet the capacity and needs of young people.” (Mario, WYA BH)
Training of CTP trainers consists of in-depth workshops, which include analysis of the structure and content of CTP, simulation of discussion groups, and guided practice in essay correction. The training covers all elements.
“We’ve acquired a solid foundation for development of our Chapter, as well as skills on how to motivate and include our nation’s youth in our future projects.” (Nadina, WYA BH)
Upon successful completion of the training, the new trainers drafted a timeline of initial activities, which included preparation of the first batch of CTP in Sarajevo in the following moths, plans for future implementation of Human Dignity Curriculum (HDC), as well as involvement of WYA BH in future translational WYA projects in the Southeast Europe region.
