World Youth Alliance Africa has launched a Track A discussion group at the Strathmore University in Nairobi. Track A training is the name given to the training to the core material for training in the principles that inform the mission of the World Youth Alliance. It is a collection of texts with corresponding questions that together explain and demonstrate the philosophical foundation of human dignity.
The Strathmore Track A group is spearheaded by World Youth Alliance Allumni, Caroline Maingi and Esther Kanyi. Strathmore university is one of the top Kenyan university whose mission is to provide all round quality education in an atmosphere of freedom and responsibility; excellence in teaching, research and scholarship; ethical and social development; and service to Society.
World Youth Alliance Africa enjoys strong ties with the university. The deans of Strathmore Business School and Law School Dr. George Njenga and Dr. Luis Franceschi respectively, have at the past annual Africa Emerging Leaders conferences organized by the World Youth Alliance. In October 2012 Anna Halpine, the founder of World Youth Alliance
spoke at the annual ethics conference organized by Strathmore University.
While meeting the group, the Regional Director of Operations Hezbon Mogambi, welcomed the 20 enthusiastic students drawn from various faculties and assured them that the training will give them a lifelong language and vocabulary to speak anddefend human dignity apart from other benefits such as internships and advocacy experiences at policy institutions.
