One month after he featured at the World Youth Alliance Africa sponsored tournament, Patillah Omoto is a football star having landed a deal with AFC leopards which plays in the Tusker Premier League, kenya’s top football league.
Omoto played for the winning club, Mathare youth during the annual Eastlands Solidarity Championship. A tournament devised by the World Youth Alliance Africa as a training platform as well as a medium to expose and celebrate sporting talents among youth from the slums of Nairobi. The tournament took place between 14th and 22nd of December and attracted a big number of talent scouts from many football clubs in Kenya.
Omoto has expressed optimism that he would make an impression in his new team.

“It has always been my wish to play in the top-tier and I’m really happy that I’ve finally got my chance, which I promise to take with both hands; play my heart out for AFC Leopards,” Omoto said.
Tusker, Mathare United, Bandari and AFC Leopards have all been chasing after his signature ahead of the new season that begings mid February.
The World Youth Alliance Regional Director of Operations attended Omoto’s unveiling to congratulate him in Nairobi.
