June 26, 2020 Manila, Philippines – World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) concluded its first ever digital, intro session series yesterday with a successful Human Dignity Curriculum (HDC) digital intro session.
Gathering and engaging hundreds of new members and collaborators, the series was a great way for WYAAP to tell people about their mission as well as opportunities to volunteer at this time. It started on May 29 with a World Youth Alliance Intro Session, followed by another one on June 18, and finally capped off on June 25 with a Human Dignity Curriculum Intro Session.

The WYA intro sessions had Regional Director Miko Superable take participants through a quick narrative of WYA’s Foundational History, then concluding with a discussion on WYA’s prominent programs such as the Certified Training Program, and the internship. Tackled also where the new, digital CTP sessions that will take place the rest of the year, and the current design internship available to WYAAP.
The WYA intro sessions concluded with brief talks from active WYA members Nielly Clarete and John Santeo Tamayo, sharing their memorable WYA stories and inviting these potential dignity defenders to take the same path.
The Human Dignity Curriculum Intro session saw Regional Director of Operations Joyce Cedeño go through primary ideas behind the creation of the HDC as well as information on how to adapt it at this time. Speaking to interested teachers and parents, the intro session concluded with a quick sharing by Dave Mariano, active WYA member, on his experience implementing the HDC.
