WYA Asia Pacific held its second DigniTEA Party for 2015 last June 5. The event, themed “rodeo”, was attended by over 50 old and new members of WYAAP, including intern alumni and summer camp graduates.
The Batch 2 2015 interns prepared a special dance number for the guests, as well as games for everyone to enjoy and get to know each other. The WYAAP office was also very happy to have had the pleasure of learning about the African culture through Bryan Chesoli, an intern from the WYA Africa office who is currently participating in a leadership seminar in the Philippines. He taught the guests some African dances, and cooked the famous Kenyan chapati for everyone.
Margaux Inocando and Graciella Ann Awkit, participants during the 2015 International Solidarity Forum (ISF), also shared about their experiences and realizations from the ISF. WYAAP Regional Director Lord Pomperada gave a brief introduction of World Youth Alliance, while RDO Zarina San Jose gave an overview of WYAAP’s activities for the year.
WYAAP also launched the first “The Game Changers: A Seminar Against Human Trafficking,” the fourth Asia Pacific Emerging Leaders Conference, and the celebration of WYAAP’s Tenth Year Anniversary.
