World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) successfully ended its second batch of workshops for the WYAAP Workshop Series last July 23, 2016. The second batch of the workshops held this summer featured Travel Photography, Stocks 101, and Digital Marketing.
The photography workshop entitled, Travel Photography: Promoting Cultural Heritage, was held last June 25, 2016 and was led by local photographer, Raniel Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez is a co-founder of SinoPinas—a community of Filipinos in quest of discovering the Philippines; its beauty, culture, and people. Besides tackling technical concepts in travel photography, his workshop highlighted the importance of one’s purpose of and experience in capturing scenery, people, and everyday life.
The Stocks 101 workshop entitled, Stock Investing 101, Learning the Game of Stocks, discussion was held last July 16, 2016, and was led by Tyrone Panzer Chan Pao MBA. Mr. Chan Pao teaches Corporate Finance, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Value Investing at De La Salle University. He tackled the fundamentals of investing in the stock market and shared effective tips and strategies in getting started with long-term investing.
Finally, the digital marketing workshop entitled, Digital Marketing: Conquering Digital Space, was held last July 23, 2016, and was led by Reginald Tan Bueno. Mr. Bueno is a Program Design and Management Associate for e-Learning Edge, a leading company in digital marketing education also handling the Certified Digital Marketer Program. He gave the participants an overview of digital marketing and shared relevant practices, platforms, and tools in building and strengthening one’s brand online.
All workshop series sessions were held at the WYAAP Office in Quezon City, Philippines, and were attended by around 30 to 40 participants from various professional and academic backgrounds.
The WYAAP Workshop Series serves as a fundraising effort for the projects of WYAAP, in particular, the 10th WYAAP Summer Camp and the 5th WYAAP Emerging Leaders Conference. Launched on March 2016, it is among the educational and fundraising programs of World Youth Alliance.
