WYAAP launches Advocacy Academy

January 22, 2021 – World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) launches applications for its first leg Advocacy Academy for this year.

The WYA Advocacy Academy is a 7-week, virtual training program designed to educate active and certified WYA members on current global policy debates and equip them with the knowledge to develop person-centered responses. During the training program, WYA members will study the WYA White Papers. These are reports which examine complex issues, explain WYA’s positions in response to current global debates, and address the most significant topics in global policy discussions and in key international proposals.

At the end of the program, all trainees will undergo an oral exam where they will be tested on their ability to articulate the contents of the white papers and WYA’s advocacy work. This program is open to all high-performing certified members of the Asia Pacific region. The program starts on February 16, 2021. Deadline of applications is on February 1, 2021.
