WYAAP Launches Essay Writing Competition

Share your story to Asia Pacific youth leaders. World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) is currently accepting entries to its 5th Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC) Essay Writing Competition.

Theme of essay: 

“Describe your biggest weakness from your point of view, and describe your greatest achievement from another person’s point of view.”  

The competition is open to all interested ELC applicants, and entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

40% Content
30% Relevance to WYA beliefs
20% Composition & writing style
10% Grammar

Twenty (20) applicants with the best essay answers will be chosen and awarded with a special conference fee discount, and the top three winners will present their essays at the conference as part of the program.

Those chosen will only have to pay a fee of PHP3,900 for local participants and USD115 for international participants, instead of the regular rates of PHP4,300 and USD125, respectively. Conference applicants who wish the join the competition need only to complete and submit their completed application form and essay entry on or before August 19, 2016 (Friday, 11:59 PM GMT). The application form is available at www.wya.net/apelc.
