World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific Regional Director (WYAAP RD), Mary Imbong, met with contacts from Taiwan’s Youth Development Administration (YDA), Ministry of Education this month.
The visit, held last January 5, 2017, composed mainly of a meeting with YDA officials where both parties exchanged introductions about their organizations, presented their ongoing and upcoming programs, and discussed avenues for future collaboration.
Through partnerships and a healthy exchange of ideas, YDA and WYA envision providing more opportunities for the youth of Taiwan and to get them involved in innovative projects that will support the community and contribute to their own holistic growth.
The YDA focuses on “establishing multiple learning platforms and forming youth to bring innovation and reform.” Through this policy they emphasize valuing the “human resources of youth” and “multi-experiential learning” through career counselling, volunteerism, and involving themselves in international events and programs.
