WYAAP speaks, participates at 1st Dux Gregis

World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) Regional Director Lord Leomer Pomperada gave a speech and presentation on the topic “Human Dignity and the World’s Youth Today” during the 1st Dux Gregis: International Youth Leaders Convergence held last June 26-28, 2015 at Palace Hotel Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The three day conference gathered over 200 youth leaders, young professionals and members of the academe.

During his presentation, Lord presented different challenges to young people around the world such as murder, prostitution, suicide and human trafficking. He then presented three secrets of Dignity Defenders in combating these global challenges and shared different success stories and innovative projects made by young people around the world in order to solve some of these issues. He ended his presentation by challenging young people to chase their dreams and never forget to contribute to their community and defend human dignity in their daily lives.

“Each one of you is one of a kind, totally unique individual. You have something of great worth. And do you know what it is? It’s Human Dignity – your greatest asset and gift. Many young people today say ‘you only live once’ but I tell you this morning that you don’t just live once but you live once with dignity. The happiest people in this world don’t have the best of everything but they make the most out of everything in their life,” Lord shared.

Lord was also joined by WYAAP Intern Alumni Angel de la Flor and Dave Mariano, who participated during the conference and welcomed old and new members at the WYA booth.

“Dux Gregis,” in Latin, means: “Leader of all Leaders.” Its main objective is to provide the International Youth Leaders Community & Organizations, with the 21st Century Advanced and Updated Youth Program & Community Development Concept Plans, Operational Systems, Development Designs and Templates. WYAAP wishes to thank Tuxedo Institute of Asia and Mr. Rupert Musni, Over-all Chairman, for the invitation.
