WYAAP to hold HDC in Manila

June 27, 2019—World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) sealed a partnership with Barangay 746 District V to conduct the implementation of the WYA Human Dignity Curriculum (HDC) in Malate, Manila, Philippines.

The HDC is an educational program of World Youth Alliance that focuses on encouraging students to understand their dignity as human beings. It aims to guide the students to a path wherein understanding this dignity, they would be able to nurture habits that would develop their way of living and worldview towards excellence.

WYAAP Director of Operations, Ms. Joyce Cedeño, along with current volunteers Mika Aromin and Mikee Turano, also conducted an orientation for the parents and relatives of the students last June 22. This batch, which will be composed of 36 students aged eight to thirteen years old, will be tackling lessons about human dignity, friendship, power to choose for oneself and others, and other practical values that will hone their decision-making skills at a young age.

The students will be attending seven sessions in total starting June 29 until August 17, 2019. Classes are to be held every Saturday of each week.

Barangay 746 in Malate, Manila, serves as the primary implementing unit of government programs and policies within its area of jurisdiction.
