WYAAP Trains Youth in Sri Lanka

CTP trainees with WYA staff

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka–World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific (WYAAP) conducted the WYA Certified Training Program (CTP) to university students during the WYAAP South Asia Tours.

The trainers, Lord Leomer Pomperada (WYA President) and Mary Imbong (WYAAP Regional Director), visited Sri Lanka from January 18 to 23, 2018 to conduct the program to students from the University of Colombo and University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The 5-day program held at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura consisted of lectures and activities where participants were trained on the WYA foundational concepts of human dignity. Following the lectures, the trainees underwent the final Accreditation Interview where 100% of the students achieved passing marks.

The CTP is the premier training course of World Youth Alliance. It covers a collection of texts that provide the philosophical underpinnings of the mission of WYA and presents a summary of philosophical, historical, and modern-day ideas that focus on the dignity of the person and human rights.

After completing and passing the CTP, graduates or “Certified Members” become eligible to represent WYA and their countries at international conferences and join international internships at WYA offices around the world.

Enroll in our online CTP course or invite WYAAP to conduct the CTP in your school, campus, or organization. Send an email to asiapacific@wya.net or visit wya.net/ctp to learn more.
