The UNESCO regional office in Beirut, organized a networking day on the 26th of June 2015 as a part of the Net Med youth project between SALTO and Erasmus plus Youth in Lebanon. Around 30 European students from different NGOS and 46 Lebanese NGOs attended the event.
At the beginning, Mr George Awad from UNESCO presented the Net Med project for youth, then Mr. Bernard Abrignani briefed the Erasmus + project and Salto as an educational tools. Mr Joe Kreidi from UNESCO office presented the campaign for saving the heritage in Lebanon.
At the end of the presentations, every representatives for the Lebanese NGOs had 30 seconds to do a briefing for his/her NGO. And finally, all the participants went to the ground floor (NGOs stands) to know more details about every NGO and share their experiences and contacts.
It was an opportunity for World Youth Alliance Middle East to promote its programs and mission for the European students and the Lebanese NGOs. A great interest was shown in the Track A training, the internship and the Emerging Leaders of the Arab Region program.
