Beirut, Lebanon—The World Youth Alliance Middle East (WYAME) Interns organized an activity day for the children at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL). The interns visited the center to implement the second of their three cultural events.
The main objective of the activity was to entertain the children of the center, who were between the ages of five and sixteen, and to introduce them to the concepts of human rights and human dignity. The interns were able to realize their objectives by playing various games with the children and by joining them in coloring cardboards that read “WYA” and “Human Dignity”.
The interns also took with them a song called “It is my right for the world to hear my words” and sang it with the enthusiastic children at the center. Through the song, as well as the other activities, the interns were able to stand in solidarity with the children, teach them about human dignity, and draw smiles on their faces.
