WYAME Staff and UN Partners renew the ‘UN Aware Project’

On Monday, November 6, 2017, the WYAME Staff, along with WYA President Mr. Lord Leomer Pomperada, met with representatives from the United Nations Information Center(UNIC), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO), and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO at the Lebanese Ministry of Culture. WYAME presented the representatives with a general evaluation of the ‘UN Aware’ Program in which their respective organizations were partners. The Challenges and success stories were discussed, and plans were put in motion for renewing the project and implementing it this year across Lebanon once again to introduce the youth to the United Nations, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the World Youth Alliance’s work in promoting and defending Human Dignity. This project, like last year, will enable the youth to be more informed about the Global Effort spearheaded by the UN to develop the world’s societies and economies as well as teach them how to create a positive impact and contribute to it themselves.
