Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 – The World Youth Alliance Middle East & North Africa hosted a lecture entitled: WYA in Advocacy: an Intro into WYA’s Advocacy Work.
This was the first time an advocacy lecture was held online and brought together WYAMENA Certified members and current Certified Training Program Trainees.
The lecture lasted for two hours and was led by Nadja Wolfe, World Youth Alliance‘s Advocacy Director, and Mislav Barisic, WYA Europe Advocacy Director. They talked about WYA’s work at the UN and the EU, the causes WYA advocates for and best practices for WYAMENA members to help spread WYA’s mission in their countries.
The lecture included two Q&A sessions with both Nadja and Mislav where members had the opportunity to ask questions. The lecture proved to be very beneficial as the WYAMENA office received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees and requests to hold more events as such.
WYAMENA continues to promote human dignity, advocacy efforts, and solidarity among MENA youth despite the challenges imposed by the pandemic. For any questions, you can email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
